iQOO Neo 12 Launching on October 28: Design, Colours and Key Specs Confirmed

iQOO has set the date and shown the phone. The Neo 12 launches in China on Wednesday 28 October, with pre-orders already open there — and the company has confirmed the design, the three colour options and the core of the specification, including a display claim no rival currently makes.

Design and colours
The Neo 12 pairs a polished metal frame with a squared camera module — and, set into the bottom-right corner of that module, a built-in active cooling fan, the same gaming hardware Honor is bringing to its Win series this week. Shadow Black and Frost Blade Blue get plain finishes in coal black and ice blue; the third colour, Fierce Edge, carries a dynamic textured back.
The confirmed core specification
- Display: Visionox 2K LTPS OLED, 185Hz — a first for any phone — with 2,200-nit HBM brightness
- Processor: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with iQOO’s Q3 gaming chip
- Battery: 9,000mAh, 100W fast charging
- Memory: 16GB RAM
- Build: IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance, ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner

The display is the headline. A 185Hz refresh rate at 2K resolution is new territory for a production phone, and it arrives with the panel brightness and the flagship Qualcomm chip to actually feed it. Combined with the fan and a 9,000mAh battery, the Neo 12 reads as a gaming phone that refuses the usual compromises — including, unusually, full IP68/IP69 sealing around that fan assembly.
What is still to come
Pricing and the full camera specification land at the 28 October launch. The Neo 12 is a China launch first; iQOO’s Neo models have historically reached other markets through importers rather than official Pakistani channels, so local availability would be Non-PTA until any official announcement. No Pakistan price exists yet, and none should be quoted until the phone is actually priced somewhere.
Final Verdict
Between the Neo 12 and Honor’s Win series, the last week of October has become gaming-phone week: flagship chips, active fans and 9,000mAh-plus batteries are suddenly the segment’s standard equipment. The Neo 12’s 2K 185Hz display is its sharpest claim — the launch on 28 October shows whether the rest of the phone matches it.
