iQOO Z12 Turbo Leak: 10,000mAh Battery, Cooling Fan Under Evaluation, Global Name iQOO 16R
The iQOO Z12 Turbo has surfaced in a Digital Chat Station leak, and the outline is aggressive even by iQOO’s standards: a battery around 10,000mAh, a flagship-tier chip, and a built-in cooling fan that the company is still evaluating. The phone is expected in China within the next few months and will be sold globally as the iQOO 16R.
What the leak says
The specification points from the leak:
- 6.59-inch display with an ultra-high refresh rate
- SM8845 Pro processor — tipped as either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 or the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Pro
- A built-in active cooling fan, currently under evaluation rather than confirmed
- Battery capacity around 10,000mAh, from an earlier Digital Chat Station claim
- China launch within the next few months; global name iQOO 16R
Two of those points need their status stated plainly. The chip’s identity is not settled — the SM8845 Pro part number does not yet map to a single announced Qualcomm product. And the fan is something iQOO is testing, not a promised feature; the brand’s own Neo 12, launching on 28 October, already ships with a fan, so the Z12 Turbo decision will say a lot about whether active cooling becomes an iQOO standard or stays a Neo-series signature.

The phone it replaces
The Z11 Turbo set the template in January 2025: a 6.59-inch 144Hz display, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and a 7,500mAh battery, sold outside China as the iQOO 15R. Against that baseline, the Z12 Turbo’s jump to roughly 10,000mAh is the single biggest change — a third more capacity in one generation. If the fan survives evaluation, the Z12 Turbo also becomes the cheapest fan-cooled phone iQOO has made, since the Z series sits below the Neo line.
Timing and Pakistan
A China launch in the next few months puts the announcement around the turn of the year, with the global 16R following after. There is no Pakistan information yet — not yet confirmed in any form — and iQOO’s local presence runs through Vivo’s channels, so an official arrival is possible but should not be assumed. What is confirmed is the direction of travel: 10,000mAh batteries have moved from gaming flagships to the mid-range in under a year.
