Galaxy S27 Cases Leak Again: Pro and Ultra Design Split Looks Set

The Galaxy S27 series is still months away, but its design story is getting harder to argue with. Tipster IceUniverse has published fresh photos of cases for all four expected models — Galaxy S27, S27+, S27 Pro and S27 Ultra — and they repeat the same split the earlier leaks described: two phones keep Samsung’s familiar look, and two get the biggest flagship redesign in years.
Two designs in one series
The cases for the standard Galaxy S27 and S27+ show the familiar vertical camera cutout, carried over from the current generation. The S27 Pro and S27 Ultra cases are a different story: a sizeable rectangular camera island spanning nearly the entire width of the phone’s top — a layout closer to a camera bar than to Samsung’s individual lens rings. Case leaks are never proof, but case makers tool up from supplied dimensions, and this design has now appeared consistently enough to treat as the working picture.

What the Pro actually is
The new model in the line is the S27 Pro, positioned as a compact Ultra: around a 6.6-inch display, the Ultra’s main and ultrawide camera hardware, and no S Pen. Reports put its cameras at a 200MP main sensor — tipped to be Samsung’s ISOCELL HP6 — with a 50MP ultrawide and a more modest 12MP 3x telephoto. The S27 Ultra is expected to keep a 50MP 5x telephoto module alongside its own 200MP main and 50MP ultrawide.
Timeline, with a caveat
Samsung is expected to unveil the series in Q1 2027, between mid-January and late February. One report suggests Samsung is weighing a January event, earlier than this year’s February unveiling — with LPDDR6 RAM and UFS 5.0 storage shortages, driven by AI-industry demand, as the factor most likely to push it back. Treat both the date and every specification here as unconfirmed until Samsung speaks.
Final Verdict
If the cases are accurate, the S27 series is where Samsung’s flagship line visibly splits: continuity for the standard models, a new wide camera-bar identity for the Pro and Ultra. It is the clearest sign yet that 2027’s flagships will be sold on design as much as on specifications.
