OnePlus Ace 7 Battery Confirmed: 9,000mAh Glacier Cell, 100W Charging and a Built-In Fan

OnePlus has now confirmed the single specification that matters most about the Ace 7 series: the battery. The Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro, launching in China on Thursday, October 29 at 7pm local time (4pm PKT), will both carry a 9,000mAh Glacier battery with 100W SuperVOOC charging and a Glacier Energy Efficiency chip. Reservations have been open on OnePlus’s official China store since October 16, and the company has spent the final week before launch confirming the hardware piece by piece rather than leaving it to leaks.
What OnePlus has confirmed

- Charging: 100W SuperVOOC wired charging; OnePlus claims a full-day phone recharges in about half an hour
- Cooling: Dual-Path Glacier Air Cooling System — a built-in fan with two airflow paths, tower fins and a dedicated temperature sensor
- Chips: Ace 7 runs the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V-series; Ace 7 Pro runs the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with a Wind-Chaser Gaming Core
- Colours: Ace 7 in Tempered, Midnight Black and Radiant White; Ace 7 Pro in Windbreaker, Midnight Black and Radiant White

The battery claims deserve a careful read. OnePlus says the Glacier Energy Efficiency chip stretches the same capacity further and keeps performance steadier at low battery, with battery health rated for up to five years. The headline endurance figures — up to seven hours of continuous gaming at 185fps and 24 hours of video playback — are the company’s own lab numbers, not independent tests. Even discounted for that, a 9,000mAh cell with 100W charging is a serious endurance package: it is the largest battery OnePlus has put in an Ace phone, and it arrives in a series built for sustained gaming rather than benchmark bursts.

The fan is built in, and that is the point
The cooling system is the Ace 7 series’ real break from OnePlus tradition. The Dual-Path Glacier Air Cooling System puts an actual fan inside the phone, with one airflow path cooling the chipset and a second cooling the rear panel, so hot exhaust exits through the top instead of blowing onto the user’s fingers during sideways gaming. OnePlus claims temperatures drop by up to 10°C in long sessions. That figure is a manufacturer claim, and independent testing will decide whether it holds, but the design logic is sound: a 9,000mAh phone that can hold 185fps without throttling is worth more to a gamer than a phone that peaks higher and fades after ten minutes. Honor’s Win series proved the appetite for built-in fans; OnePlus is now the second major brand to treat active cooling as a mainstream gaming feature rather than a niche extra.
What is still rumor
Everything else on the spec sheet remains tipped rather than announced, and the two tiers should not be blurred. Multiple outlets report a 6.78-inch flat LTPS OLED display at 1.5K resolution and 185Hz, a 200MP Samsung HP5 main camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto with about 3.5x zoom on the Pro, a 16MP front camera, and ColorOS 17 on Android 17. A 120W charging figure for the Pro has also circulated in leaks, but the official word so far is 100W for the series, so treat 120W as unconfirmed. Prices are not yet confirmed for either model, and OnePlus has said nothing about a launch outside China.
What happened to the Turbo Pro leak
Readers who followed the earlier Turbo Pro leak will recognise this phone. The tipped Turbo Pro — 6.78-inch 185Hz display, 200MP camera, a battery of at least 9,000mAh — maps almost exactly onto the Ace 7 series, which strongly suggests the leak described this family under an early or alternate name. One detail changed in the telling, and it matters: the leak described an external clip-on fan accessory, while OnePlus has confirmed a fan built into the phone itself. The Ace 7 series is the phone that leak pointed at, with better cooling than the leak promised. Our earlier first-look post on the series is linked below.
For buyers in Pakistan, the honest position is to wait. The Ace 7 series is a China launch, and any Pakistan arrival would come later through the global OnePlus 16R line or import channels, with prices not yet confirmed. What is already clear is the direction of travel: batteries around 9,000mAh, real cooling hardware, and charging that treats a full day as a half-hour job are becoming the standard for gaming phones, not the exception.
