Honor Win 2 vs iQOO Neo 12: Two 185Hz Gaming Phones Compared
Two gaming phones launched a week apart have arrived at the same specification sheet from opposite directions. Honor’s Win 2 is on sale in China from today; iQOO’s Neo 12 launches on 28 October. Both carry 2K displays running at 185Hz, both cool themselves with built-in fans, and both treat 9,000mAh as a starting point for battery capacity. Here is where they actually differ.
Displays: the same headline, different panels
Both phones headline a 2K 185Hz screen, and both trace back to Visionox’s new panel generation — the first to combine 2K resolution with a 185Hz refresh rate. The Win 2 uses a 6.89-inch panel at 1272×2800. The Neo 12’s 2K 185Hz LTPS OLED is slightly smaller, and iQOO quotes 2,200 nits of high-brightness-mode output for it. In practice the difference buyers will feel is size, not speed: the Win 2 is the bigger, heavier gaming slab of the two.
Performance: Extreme chip against a dual-chip setup
The Win 2 runs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, the newest flagship silicon available. The Neo 12 answers with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 plus iQOO’s self-developed Q3 gaming chip, which handles frame interpolation and super-resolution duties alongside the main processor. On paper the Win 2 has the faster single chip; the Neo 12’s bet is that a dedicated gaming co-processor keeps frame rates steadier for longer. Only back-to-back testing will settle that, and the Neo 12’s price — still unannounced — is the missing half of the comparison.
Cooling: two fans against one
Cooling is where the designs visibly split. The Win 2 carries two fans in Honor’s Dongfeng Twin-Star system, with claimed reductions of up to 14.4°C across the phone and 15.5°C at the processor, plus a rapid-cooling mode. The Neo 12 uses a single fan mounted at the bottom-right of its camera module — a more compact arrangement in a thinner phone. Both are rated IP68 and IP69, which remains remarkable for devices with moving parts and open fan paths.

Battery and charging
The Win 2 fits 10,100mAh with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. The Neo 12 carries 9,000mAh with 100W wired charging and no wireless option in its confirmed materials. That 1,100mAh gap is roughly an extra gaming session, and it is the Win 2’s clearest hardware win. The Neo 12 counters on size and, in its three confirmed colours — Fierce Edge, Shadow Black and Frost Blade Blue — on looks.
Prices and the Pakistan picture
The Win 2 starts at CNY 5,499 after national subsidies (CNY 5,999 standard) for 12GB + 512GB, and our product page carries an Expected Pakistan figure of Rs. 234,999 that will be replaced when real pricing appears. The Neo 12’s prices arrive with its 28 October launch — not yet confirmed, and any figure circulating before then is a guess. Neither phone has a Pakistan launch date. On confirmed hardware alone, the Win 2 is the more extreme machine: faster chip, dual fans, bigger battery, wireless charging. The Neo 12’s case rests on its Q3 chip, its slimmer build and whatever price iQOO announces next week — which, if it undercuts the Win 2 the way Neo models usually undercut flagships, could flip this comparison entirely.
