Poco M8 vs iQOO Z10x: Same Rs. 60,999 Starting Price, Opposite Strengths

Two new phones landed on our catalogue on the same night, both starting at exactly the same price, aimed at exactly the same buyer — and they could hardly be more different. The Poco M8 and the iQOO Z10x both open at Rs. 60,999 on our product pages, but one buys you a brighter AMOLED screen and four years of updates, while the other buys you a much bigger battery and a tougher build. Before the comparison: both prices are Expected conversions, not official Pakistan prices, and they will change when real local pricing lands. With that caveat out of the way, here is how the two stack up.

Display: M8, clearly
This is the widest gap in the comparison. The M8’s 6.77-inch AMOLED panel peaks at 3,200 nits with a 3D curved design and HDR support, while the Z10x’s 6.72-inch IPS LCD tops out at 1,050 nits in high-brightness mode. Both run at 120Hz, so scrolling smoothness is a tie, but for outdoor visibility, contrast and video, the M8’s screen is in a different class. If the display is where your eyes spend their day, the M8 wins this section outright.

Performance: Z10x, narrowly
Both chips are 4nm mid-range parts, and neither phone will embarrass itself in daily use or mainstream games. On paper, the Z10x’s Dimensity 7300 has the edge: higher-clocked performance cores (4×2.5GHz against the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3’s 4×2.4GHz) and a stronger GPU pairing for sustained loads. In practice the difference is small, and the M8 answers with something the Z10x cannot match — software longevity. HyperOS 2 on the M8 is promised four major OS upgrades against two on the Z10x’s Funtouch 15, which matters more over a three-year ownership than a few benchmark points. Call performance a narrow Z10x win, and long-term software a clear M8 win.
Camera: M8, on the selfie and the extras
The rear cameras are near-identical on paper: a 50MP main sensor plus a 2MP depth helper, both shooting 4K video, with the Z10x adding a ring-LED flash. The split comes at the front and in audio. The M8’s 20MP selfie camera against the Z10x’s 8MP is a real difference for video calls and selfies, and the M8 pairs its stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio certification. Neither phone is a camera-first buy, but the M8 gives you more where most people actually notice it.

Battery: Z10x, by almost 1,000mAh
The Z10x’s 6,500mAh cell against the M8’s 5,520mAh silicon-carbon battery is the Z10x’s strongest card, worth roughly a fifth more capacity. Charging is effectively tied at 44W against 45W, though the M8 adds 18W reverse wired charging for topping up earbuds. For a buyer whose priority is two-day endurance or long gaming sessions away from a charger, the Z10x is the pick, and its MIL-STD-810H build and IR blaster add to the practical, outdoorsy case. Note the weight trade: the bigger battery costs 26g, with the Z10x at 204g against the M8’s 178g.
Value: a tie at the base, M8 on choice
At the shared Rs. 60,999 starting point, the choice is about priorities, not price. The M8’s catalogue offers five Expected variants up to Rs. 82,999, including a 512GB option and a microSDXC slot for expansion; the Z10x currently carries a single Rs. 60,999 Expected row. Remember both figures are Expected conversions that will move with real pricing, so treat the tie as provisional.

Final verdict by buyer type
- Buy the Poco M8 if you watch a lot of video, want the brighter AMOLED screen, care about selfies, want expandable storage, or plan to keep the phone for four years of updates.
- Buy the iQOO Z10x if battery life is your first priority, you want the slightly stronger chip, or you value the IR blaster and the tougher all-round build.
- Wait if you need confirmed Pakistan pricing — both figures here are Expected conversions, and the first official or importer price will change this comparison.
