Oppo Reno9 Pro Review & Practical Analysis
The Oppo Reno9 Pro is considered a premium device, positioned in the upper-mid-range segment of the smartphone market. This particular phone brings together some pretty high-end stuff: it has flagship-level processing power, a really nice ultra-slim des͏ign that is curved, and also quite good camera capabilities. On the front, you see a striking 6.7-inch curved AMOLED displ͏ay; this display can show 1 billion colors, has a 120Hz refresh rate, and it supports HDR10+. It can get quite bright too, reaching a peak of 950 nits. For protection, it uses Asahi Glass AGC DT-Star2. Inside the phone, power comes from the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. This is interesting because it performs better than the other models in its own lineup that use MediaTek chips. It is combined with a large 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM. You also get up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage which is fast. This whole setup gives it great speed and allows for smooth multitasking, running on Android 13 with ColorOS 13.
For taking pictures, the phone has a flexible triple-camera system. The main camera is a 50MP sensor with multi-directional PDAF and OIS, which means your photos should be sharp and steady. There is an 8MP ultrawide lens for broader shots and a 2MP macro sensor for close-ups. The front of the phone has a 32MP selfie camera that inclu͏des autofocus. Powering all of this is a reliable 4,700mAh battery. This battery should keep the phone going even with heavy use. When the battery does run low, there is 67W SuperVOOC wired fast charging available, allowing the device to refuel quickly.
