Sony Xperia 1 IV Review & Practical Analysis
The Sony Xperia 1 IV is really aimed at people who are into photography and media, the ones who want professional controls but also a phone that looks good and does not have a notch on the screen. Its main feature, you know, it is the 6.5-inch 4K OLED display. That screen gives you a pretty stunning 120Hz refresh rate and it is in that ultra-wide 21:9 aspect ratio. Inside, it has got Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. And there is 12GB of RAM with storage up to 512GB. Now, this chip, it is super fast for everyday stuff and even demanding applications, but it does tend to get warm when you p͏ush it hard. So sometimes, you see thermal throttling happen especially if you are using the camera a lot or playing some intense games.
Then you have Sony’s camera setup, which is a triple 12MP array. What makes it special is the true continuous optical zoom, that is from 3.5x to 5.2x, and it uses Zeiss optics. You can also record 4K video at 120 frames per second with all the lenses. The battery, it is a 5,000mAh one, and it easily lasts a whole day, which is pretty convenient. This phone also keeps some of those features that enthusiasts really like, like a 3.5mm headphone jack. And there is tool-less microSD expansion, and a physical two-stage camera shutter button, a nice touch. It is built with Gorilla Glass Victus and it has IP68 water resistance. So it is a premium kind of phone, and the Android experience on it is pretty clean, no bloatware, which is g͏ood. It really rewards people who like to get creative with their devices.
