Nothing Phone (2) Review & Practical Analysis
The Nothing Phone (2) really comes across as a more polished, high-end sort of upper-mid-range smartp͏hone, blending so͏me pretty distinct looks with performance that almost gets to flagship level. On the front, you get this nice 6.7-inch LTPO OLED screen. It has an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, and it supports HDR10+, with a peak brightness that can hit 1,600 nits. And it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. Under the hood, it is running on the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, which is a 4nm chip and has been proven reliable. That is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and fast UFS 3.1 storage. So, what that means is you get really smooth performance, good power efficiency, and multitasking feels very fluid on Android 13, with Nothing OS 2 on top of that.
One of the big things that stands out, a real signature feature actually, is its upgraded Glyph Interface. This is on the transparent glass back, and it gives you these customizable LED light patterns. These can be used for things like notifications, showing charging progress, tracking volume levels, or even as indicators when you are recording video. For taking pictures, it has a 50MP main sensor with OIS and a 50MP ultrawide lens that also has autofocus, so it can do macro shots. And for selfies, there is a high-resolution 32MP camera. Keeping the phone going through a busy day is a pretty dependable 4,700mAh battery. This battery supports 45W wired fast charging, and then there is 15W wireless charging, plus 5W reverse wireless charging capability. Now, it does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack, but with its premium build quality, the very unique design, and strong performance, it really does stand out in its particular category, you know.
