Design and Build
The Galaxy A57 measures 161.5 x 76.8 x 6.9 mm and weighs 179 g. The front and back are both protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+, and the frame is made from aluminium. The phone is rated IP68, so it is protected against dust and against immersion in water up to 1.5 metres for 30 minutes.

Performance
The Galaxy A57 runs on the Exynos 1680 chip, built on a 4 nm process. The octa-core processor pairs one 2.9 GHz Cortex-720 core with four 2.6 GHz Cortex-720 cores and three 1.95 GHz Cortex-520 cores. Graphics come from the Xclipse 550 GPU. The phone is sold with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB, 256GB or 512GB of storage. There is no microSD card slot, so pick the storage size you need at the time of purchase.
Cameras
On the back there are three cameras: a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilisation, a 12MP ultrawide camera with a 123-degree field of view, and a 5MP macro camera. Video recording goes up to 4K at 30 frames per second. The front camera is a 12MP unit with an f/2.2 aperture.

Buying the Galaxy A57 in Pakistan
When buying in Pakistan, buy from Samsung Pakistan or an authorised retailer and keep the original receipt. Check the model number (the Pakistan models include SM-A576B) and the IMEI, and confirm PTA status through DIRBS before you pay, so the phone works on all local networks without interruption. The 8GB + 256GB model at Rs. 166,999 suits most buyers; pick the 12GB + 256GB model at Rs. 184,999 if you keep many apps open, and the 12GB + 512GB model at Rs. 224,999 if you store a large photo and video library on the phone.
Final Verdict: A strong mid-range option from Samsung
The Galaxy A57 pairs a bright 120Hz AMOLED+ screen, a 50MP OIS camera, a 5000mAh battery with 45W charging, IP68 protection and a long software promise in a slim 6.9 mm body. The lack of a microSD slot and a charger in the box are the main drawbacks. For buyers who want an official, PTA-approved Samsung phone with solid cameras and years of updates, the 8GB + 256GB model at Rs. 166,999 is the pick of the three.
