vivo X500 Series Teased for India With a 400mm ZEISS Extender and Watch GT 2
vivo India has started teasing the X500 series for India, and the teaser says more than a date would. The image shows the X500 Pro Max alongside a 400mm vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra and the vivo Watch GT 2, with “Coming Soon” and “Co-engineered with ZEISS” across a savanna sunset. The phones are coming; the day is not yet confirmed.

What the teaser shows
The teaser image is doing the talking. The X500 Pro Max stands in the centre in a copper-orange finish, its large circular camera module carrying the ZEISS badge. To its right sits the cylindrical telephoto extender, marked 400mm equivalent; to its left, the black Watch GT 2. The fine print states the extender is sold separately and works only with the Pro Max, and the watch is sold separately too. “Powered by OriginOS 7” sits at the foot of the image.
The series itself is not new: vivo launched the X500, X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max in China on 21 September, and the European debut followed on 27 October. India is the next stop, and the teaser is the first official word of it.
What the cameras are
GSMArena’s hands-on in Shanghai, where the phones were unveiled, records the Pro Max camera set in detail: a 50MP main sensor with a 1/1.28-inch LOFIC sensor behind a 24mm f/1.6 stabilised lens, a 200MP telephoto with a 1/1.4-inch sensor and an 85mm f/2.7 lens, and a 50MP ultrawide with a 15mm f/2.0 lens. Those figures come from handling the phone, not from a specification sheet, but they match the ZEISS-first positioning of the whole series.
Other specifications circulating for the India launch remain reports rather than facts: a 6.59-inch 1.5K 144Hz OLED display, a Dimensity 9600M chip, a 7,500mAh battery with 90W wired charging, and a triple camera system with Sony and ZEISS optics. One outlet carries those figures; vivo India has confirmed none of them. The Watch GT 2 is reported to carry a 2.07-inch display with health tracking and more than 100 sports modes, and it has so far been limited to China.
What to watch
The date is the open question. A 25 November India launch is tipped by local outlets, but vivo has given no date, and the teaser says only “Coming Soon”. The second question is the model mix: vivo has not confirmed whether the X500 and X500 Pro launch alongside the Pro Max or follow later. Prices are not yet confirmed for any model, in any market, beyond the China and Europe figures already published.
