Grand Theft Auto VI has reached a reported 7.71 million digital pre-orders, worth an estimated $751 million, 15 days before its 19 November 2026 launch. The figures come from analytics firm Sensor Tower’s tracker, updated 3 November and reported on 4 November by outlets including GameSpot and GamingBolt. They are third-party estimates, not an official total from Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive.
At a glance
What the new estimate says
The tracker covers digital pre-orders only, net of returns, and it excludes physical retail reservations. That scope matters when reading the headline total: reservations made in shops are not counted here.
About 790,000 pre-orders were added in the past week (REPORTED). The total is up from the roughly 6 million-plus figure reported in October.
None of this is an official Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive figure. Until either company publishes its own total, the 7.71 million number should be read as a third-party estimate, however widely it has been reported.

The PS5 lead in the split
PlayStation 5 accounts for the larger share by a wide margin. The reported PS5 total is about 5.74 million pre-orders, worth about $559 million, according to Sensor Tower via GameSpot and other outlets (all REPORTED).
Xbox Series X|S accounts for the remaining share, with about 1.97 million reported pre-orders worth about $192 million (all REPORTED, Sensor Tower via GameSpot and other outlets). Together, the two reported platform totals add up to the headline 7.71 million figure.
What is confirmed, and what is not
The pre-order estimate and the launch facts sit in different categories, and keeping them apart avoids overstating what is known.
