PUBG Mobile 4.6 Is Live: Midnight Hunters, Vampires and a Halloween Brainrot Update

If you open PUBG Mobile this week, the game looks different after dark. Version 4.6 is live now, and its headline is Midnight Hunters, a vampire-themed mode that turns the usual battle royale loop into a hunt — with a twist that keeps defeated players in the game. Alongside it, the World of Wonder mode has its own Halloween update, and a seasonal collaboration is running through October. Here is what is actually worth your time.

At a glance

Version: 4.6, live now, free on the App Store and Google Play

Headline mode: Midnight Hunters — Hunters vs Vampires

Key items: Silvermoon Chain, Twilight Bat Wings, Blood Pact

World of Wonder: Brainrot Royale Halloween update — Ghost Ship, Pirate Captain, Magic Broom

Also running: B.Duck collaboration through October

Midnight Hunters: the hunt goes both ways

Midnight Hunters splits the lobby into Hunters and Vampires, and the clever part is what happens when you lose. Defeated players can return as vampires and challenge the hunters, so an early death is not the end of your match — it is a change of side. That single rule changes how aggressive you can afford to be, because the player you just knocked out may come back at you with a very different toolkit.

The mode’s items cover offense, defense, flight and mobility. The Silvermoon Chain, Twilight Bat Wings and Blood Pact give both sides distinct ways to close distance or escape it, and the vampire transformation of four major urban areas means familiar city fights now play out under a different sky. The Hunters Guild, the Clock Tower and Scream Crates anchor the mode’s locations and loot, while player-versus-environment threats — the Bloodwalker and the Vampire Elder — add a shield mechanic and finisher animations to the mix. The Elder in particular punishes teams that ignore it and focus only on each other, which is exactly the kind of third-party pressure that makes a themed mode feel alive rather than reskinned.

For players who like their PUBG Mobile tense and close-quarters, this is the week’s main event. The mode rewards movement and awareness over long-range camping, and the return-as-vampire rule means the lobby stays dangerous right up to the final circle.

Brainrot Royale gets a Halloween overhaul

World of Wonder’s Brainrot Royale has its own seasonal update, and it is broader than a coat of pumpkin paint. The Ghost Ship event brings a Pirate Captain non-player character who either redeems limited rewards or hands out advanced Brainrots — the mode’s top income tier — which makes finding the ship a genuine objective rather than a sightseeing stop. Three pumpkin-themed Brainrots arrive through an Art Gallery Frame mechanic, alongside a transformation wand and a Magic Broom that works as a flying vehicle.

The systems underneath got attention too. The backpack cap sits at 64 Brainrots, the Rebirth level cap rises by 5 with extra base slots, and the social options expand with profile cards, friend requests, popularity gifts and gifting to a backpack or a base. For a mode built on collecting and showing off, those are the changes that keep players logging in after the Halloween decorations come down.

What to play first

Start with Midnight Hunters. It is the mode with the most new mechanics, it is the one your squad will be talking about, and its return-as-vampire rule makes even a bad drop recoverable. Then dip into Brainrot Royale for the Ghost Ship event while it is live — seasonal rewards have a habit of not coming back.

The B.Duck collaboration runs through October as well, so if you collect collaboration cosmetics, do not leave it to the last day. And if you have not updated yet, 4.6 is free on the App Store and Google Play as usual — no purchase needed to try any of this.
