Cubot MegaPad Overview
The Cubot MegaPad is a big-screen tablet that puts display size and battery life first. Announced and released in October 2026, it combines a 13.36-inch IPS LCD with a 14,700mAh battery, a pairing aimed at long video sessions, reading and everyday tasks on a large canvas. It runs Android 16, comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and adds six stereo speakers for sound to match the screen.
Price in Pakistan: not yet confirmed. PTA status: not yet confirmed.
Design and Display
The MegaPad measures 309.3 x 208 x 8.1 mm and weighs 846 g, so it is a two-handed device best used on a desk, a stand or your lap. The front is glass, while the frame and back are aluminium, and it comes in Gray. The 13.36-inch IPS LCD has a 1200 x 1920 resolution in a 16:10 ratio, giving room for split-screen work, documents and films. A side-mounted fingerprint reader is built in for quick sign-in.
Performance and Software
Inside, the MediaTek Helio G81 (12 nm) pairs two 2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 cores with six 1.7 GHz Cortex-A55 cores, with Mali-G52 MC2 graphics. It is an entry-level chip, so the MegaPad is best suited to browsing, streaming, social apps and light games rather than heavy multitasking or demanding titles. Android 16 keeps the software current, and the 128GB of storage can be expanded with a microSDXC card.
Camera
The rear camera is a single 16MP unit with PDAF, recording 1080p video at 30fps, while the front camera is an 8MP unit, also recording 1080p at 30fps. The cameras cover video calls, scans and the odd snapshot, but they are not the reason to buy this tablet.
Battery and Charging
The 14,700mAh battery is the MegaPad’s headline feature and one of the largest in any tablet at this size, promising several days of light use between charges. Charging is wired at 18W over USB Type-C, which is slow for a battery this large, so full top-ups take a while.
Connectivity
The tablet connects over dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 5.0, with GPS on board. There is no NFC, no FM radio and no 3.5mm headphone jack, so audio runs through the speakers, USB-C or Bluetooth.
Final Verdict: A Big-Screen Tablet Built Around Battery Life
The Cubot MegaPad suits buyers who want the biggest possible screen and the longest possible battery life at a modest price point, once that price is set. Its display, battery, speakers and current Android version are the draw; its modest Helio G81 chip, weight and slow 18W charging are the trade-offs. If the price lands well when it is confirmed, it will be a strong pick for video, reading and study.
