Apple Now Sells iPhone 18 Pro Repair Parts: Camera $249, Display $329, Battery $129
Apple has started selling replacement parts for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max through its Self Service Repair Store, and the price list is the interesting part. A replacement camera costs $249 — the same as last year’s iPhone 17 Pro, even though the new cameras add a variable aperture system — and Apple is publishing exactly what each repair costs before the core-return credits that bring several prices down sharply.
The parts and prices
The store lists back glass, batteries, bottom and top speakers, cameras, displays, enclosures, front cameras, logic boards, main microphones, SIM trays and Taptic Engines, along with the tools and supplies each job needs. The headline prices:
- Rear camera: $249 — $189.24 after the $59.76 core-return credit
- Display: $329 (Pro) and $379 (Pro Max), before small credits of $16.45 and $18.95
- Battery: $129 for both models — $67.08 after the $61.92 credit; the Pro Max battery is listed as coming soon
- Back glass: $159 — $120.84 after credit
- Front camera: $199 — $151.24 after credit
- Tool kit rental: $49 for seven days
The credit system is the detail that matters: Apple pays meaningful money for returned cores on the camera and battery, which cuts the real cost of the two most common repairs by a quarter to a half. The display credit, by contrast, is token-sized.
Mac parts arrived at the same time
The same store update added parts for the M5 Max and M5 Ultra Mac Studio and the M6 and M5 Pro Mac mini. The Mac Studio list runs from Thunderbolt and USB-C ports to fans, speakers, SSD modules, logic boards and power supplies; the Mac mini list is shorter, covering fans, speakers, logic boards and power supplies among other parts. Apple’s Self Service Repair programme has run since 2022 in eligible regions, supplying genuine parts, the tools to fit them, and official repair manuals with step-by-step instructions.
What it means for Pakistan
The programme does not officially operate in Pakistan, so these prices will not be payable at a local counter. They still matter here for two reasons. First, they set the reference cost of genuine parts for the imported iPhone 18 Pro units already selling locally — a repair quote wildly above Apple’s own parts price is a quote worth questioning. Second, they confirm the repair economics we flagged in our iPhone 18 Pro coverage: the camera and battery are reasonably priced to fix, while a cracked display remains the expensive accident, credit or no credit.
