The Xiaomi Poco M8 is a mid-range 5G phone from Poco that was announced on 5 January 2026 and released on 8 January 2026 in global markets. It brings an AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip and a large silicon-carbon battery to the lower mid-range. The phone has not been launched in Pakistan, and there is no official Pakistan price or release date for it, so it is listed here as Coming Soon with expected pricing.

Xiaomi Poco M8 Price in Pakistan

The expected price of the Xiaomi Poco M8 in Pakistan starts at Rs. 60,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The figures below are converted from its Bangladesh prices, and they stay expected until local sellers list the phone.

Variant Price in Pakistan
6GB RAM + 128GB Storage Rs. 60,999 (Expected)
8GB RAM + 128GB Storage Rs. 65,999 (Expected)
8GB RAM + 256GB Storage Rs. 69,999 (Expected)
8GB RAM + 512GB Storage Rs. 78,999 (Expected)
12GB RAM + 512GB Storage Rs. 82,999 (Expected)

One point to note: the phone’s own specification lists 6GB or 8GB of RAM, while the 12GB + 512GB configuration appears in retailer price lists, so it is included in the table as listed. There is no official distributor price for this phone in Pakistan. Units that reach local shops will be imports, and the PTA approval status of any individual unit should be checked before buying, as PTA tax amounts for this model are not confirmed.

Design and Build

The Poco M8 measures 165 x 75.4 x 7.4mm and weighs 178g, which is slim and light for a phone with this battery size. It carries IP66 dust and water resistance against high-pressure water jets (IP65 in Europe) and is rated drop resistant up to 1.7 metres. It takes two Nano-SIM cards and comes in Black, Green and Silver.

Display

The 6.77-inch AMOLED panel runs at 1080 x 2392 with a 120Hz refresh rate, 3840Hz PWM dimming and HDR support. Typical brightness is 800 nits and peak brightness reaches 3200 nits, so outdoor readability should be strong. An optical fingerprint sensor sits under the display.

Performance

The Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 is a 4nm chip with four Cortex-A78 performance cores at 2.4GHz and an Adreno 710 GPU. Xiaomi promises up to four major Android upgrades from the Android 15 and HyperOS 2 base. Storage runs from 128GB to 512GB of UFS 2.2, and a microSD card can be added in the shared SIM slot.

Camera

The rear camera is a 50MP unit with autofocus and an f/1.8 lens, helped by an auxiliary lens, and it records video at up to 4K at 30fps. The front camera is 20MP and records 1080p video at 30 or 60fps. The camera hardware is basic for the class beyond the main sensor, which is the usual trade at this price.

Battery and Charging

The 5,520mAh silicon-carbon battery is large for the class and supports 45W wired charging. It also offers 18W reverse wired charging for topping up smaller devices.

Software and Connectivity

The phone runs Android 15 with HyperOS 2. It supports 5G on a wide band list, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.1 and USB Type-C. NFC is fitted but depends on the market or region, there is no FM radio and no 3.5mm headphone jack, and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos cover audio output.
