OPPO Pad Mini Goes on Sale in India on October 29 at Rs. 94,999: Small Tablet, Flagship Chip
OPPO’s smallest flagship tablet is about to reach buyers. The OPPO Pad Mini, launched in India on October 22 alongside the Find X10 phones, goes on open sale on Wednesday, October 29 through Flipkart and OPPO’s own online store, priced at Rs. 94,999 for its single configuration. For weekend shoppers weighing a compact tablet, the pitch is simple: a genuinely small Android tablet with a flagship chip, a glare-cutting screen and a battery that does not force a midday charge.
Price, variants and launch offers
- Price: Rs. 94,999 in India, for the sole 8GB RAM + 256GB storage Wi-Fi variant
- Colour: Lavender only, in the Matte Display Edition
- Sale: October 29, 2026, via Flipkart and the OPPO online store; pre-orders already open
- Launch bundle: the OPPO Pencil 3 Pro stylus (Rs. 7,999) and Pad Mini Smart Case (Rs. 3,999) free with the tablet for a limited period, reported to run to November 19

A small tablet that is not a compromise
The compact Android tablet has been a thin category for years: small usually meant weak. The Pad Mini breaks that pattern. Its 8.8-inch 2.5K OLED display (2520 x 1680) runs at up to 144Hz with a matte finish that cuts reflections and gives a more paper-like feel with a stylus, hitting 1,600 nits full-screen brightness with higher local peaks. Under it sits Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, a 3nm flagship chip, so the tablet is not merely a reading device — it is built to handle intensive work and games too. The 8,000mAh battery with 67W wired charging is a strong pairing for a device only 5.46mm thick and 279g in weight: thin, light, and still good for a full day.
The rest of the sheet is deliberately simple. A single 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera cover photos and video calls without pretending the tablet is a camera. ColorOS 16 on Android 16 brings split-screen multitasking, floating windows, cross-device file sharing and dedicated reading modes. Connectivity covers Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 and USB-C (USB 3.2 Gen 1), and the tablet works with the OPPO Pencil 3 and Pencil 3 Pro.
Who should buy it — and who should not
The honest case for the Pad Mini is the form factor. If you want a tablet you can hold in one hand on a commute, read on for hours without glare, and still lean on for heavy apps, there is very little else in Android’s compact class — it is the closest Android answer to Apple’s iPad mini, and the matte screen is a genuine differentiator for readers and note-takers. The case against it is equally plain: at Rs. 94,999 for a Wi-Fi-only tablet, it makes sense only if you truly want the compact size. Buyers who are happy with a larger screen can find faster chips and bigger batteries for less, including from OnePlus’s own larger Pad lineup. And for readers in Pakistan, the usual caveat applies: no Pakistan launch or price has been announced, so this one is an India story for now, with import pricing not yet confirmed.
