What Is Rolling Out
Nothing’s stable Nothing OS 5.0, based on Android 17, is rolling out to Phone (4a), Phone (4a) Pro, Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro. The rollout is staggered, so not every owner gets it on the same day. Phone (3) received the stable update first, on October 12.
What Is New
The shared changes include a dedicated Glyph app, a split Quick Settings and notification panel, a Translucent theme, the Geist typeface, and a three-colour status-bar indicator for sensitive access, location and AI processing. All four phones get Dual-view Video. The 3a models also get camera Tuning and video filters, while the 4a models get faster Essential Voice transcriptions.
What Comes Next
Nothing’s roadmap puts Phone (2a) and Phone (2a) Plus next in mid-November, Phone (3a) Lite in late December, and Phone (4b) and CMF Phone 2 Pro in mid-January. The rollout began on October 30, ahead of the early-November window on Nothing’s August roadmap.
