The Samsung W27 is a new foldable phone from Samsung, launched in China on 29 October 2026, with sales in China from 13 November 2026. It is listed as Available. In Pakistan it is available through imports only, and PTA approval has not yet been confirmed. The expected price in Pakistan is Rs. 788,999 for the 16GB 512GB variant and Rs. 912,999 for the 16GB 1TB variant.
Design and Displays
Unfolded, the phone measures 158.4 x 143.2 x 4.1 mm, and folded it measures 158.4 x 72.8 x 8.9 mm, at 215 g. The frame, hinge and camera trim carry a gold finish, with a "Heart to the World" emblem, and the body is rated IP48. SIM support is Nano-SIM + eSIM + eSIM, with a maximum of 2 in use at a time, and the fingerprint reader is side-mounted. The main display is an 8.0-inch foldable Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X panel with a 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate, HDR10+ and up to 3000 nits peak brightness, at 2504×2256 QXGA+ in a 20.9:18 ratio (422 ppi), with an anti-reflective coating on the inner screen. The cover display is a 6.5-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel at 2520×1080 in a 21:9 ratio (422 ppi), also with a 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate, HDR10+ and up to 3000 nits peak brightness, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3. Colours are Jixia Hong (Sunset Red) and Jihu Blue (Lake Blue).
Performance and Battery
The phone runs Android 17 with One UI 9, on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy (3 nm) at up to 4.74 GHz, with Adreno 840 graphics, 16 GB of RAM and 512GB or 1TB of storage, with no card slot. The battery is 5,000 mAh, charged at 45W wired and 20W wireless (Qi2.2), and a 45W charger is included in the box. No battery chemistry is stated by the sources, so none is claimed here. Galaxy AI and Knox are included, Samsung promises 7 major Android OS updates, and a Kevlar magnetic case is included in the box.

Connectivity covers GSM/HSPA/LTE/5G with 5G SA/NSA/Sub6/mmWave, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO and BDS, NFC, USB Type-C 3.2 with OTG, and UWB, with no FM radio and no infrared port. The W27 is a China Telecom partnership series, and PTA approval for Pakistan has not yet been confirmed.

Final Verdict: A Gold-Trimmed Foldable at an Import Price
The W27 pairs two bright adaptive AMOLED displays with a 200MP triple camera, 8K video, flagship Galaxy silicon with Galaxy AI and Knox, 45W wired plus 20W wireless charging, IP48 protection and satellite communication. The trade-offs are a very high expected import price, imports-only availability with PTA approval still unconfirmed, no 3.5mm headphone jack, and 215 g with an 8.9 mm folded thickness. It is a phone to watch rather than buy sight unseen until an official Pakistan price and PTA confirmation arrive.
