When you can actually play
Server times come from the official pre-download table, and they stagger across the night. Singapore, Hong Kong and Manila open at 6:00 AM on October 29; Thailand and western Indonesia at 5:00 AM the same day. In the Americas, Brazil opens at 7:00 PM on October 28, US Pacific at 3:00 PM and US Eastern at 6:00 PM. London opens at 10:00 PM on October 28, and central Europe at 11:00 PM.
For readers in Pakistan, that London time converts to 3:00 AM PKT on October 29 — derived by adding five hours to GMT, since no separate Pakistan time has been published. Set the download going tonight, because launch-day server queues and a large day-one patch are the usual price of waiting until morning. One regional note: the mainland China version is separate and arrives from 2027, so players there are on a different timetable entirely.

A bigger game than just hunts
Outlanders is billed as Survival Hunting Action, and the survival half is doing real work. The setting is Aesoland, described as a living land, and the loop includes gathering resources, building facilities and surviving in the world — not just queuing for hunts and returning to a hub. That puts it closer to a full Monster Hunter world adapted for mobile than to a hunt-only arena game, and it is the clearest sign that TiMi is aiming at long sessions rather than quick matches.
Combat carries the series’ timing DNA. Perfect Evade and Perfect Guard mechanics reward reading a monster rather than button-mashing through it, and each Adventurer-weapon pairing has its own follow-up moves, so two players with the same weapon can still play differently depending on who is holding it.
Adventurers, weapons and buddies
Eight weapons are available at launch — seven in the store listing, plus the Charge Blade, confirmed by producer Dong Huang. Characters split into two types. The Fated Adventurer is customizable and can use every weapon, which suits players who like to switch roles. Story Adventurers are locked to one weapon or class each, but carry their own skills and ultimates, which suits players who want a defined identity in a squad.
Buddies follow the same expand-the-formula approach. The classic Palico returns, joined by new Aesoland natives Rutaco and Trillan, each with their own personality, appearance and abilities, and trainable over time. For a series where your companion is half your build, two new species is a meaningful addition rather than decoration.
The headline monster is Ruger Aidal, an original Elder Dragon created for Outlanders, standing alongside series staples including Rathalos. The series as a whole has sold more than 131 million units as of June 30, 2026, so the new monster carries real expectations — it has to feel worthy of sharing a roster with the most famous dragon in the franchise.

The honest watch-outs
Three things deserve a clear-eyed look before you commit. First, Adventurer recruitment is gacha-style, according to pre-launch reporting — weapons are crafted through play, but characters come through the recruitment system, so budget accordingly. Second, this is a touch-controls action game with precise dodge and guard timing, which is a very different feel from a controller or keyboard; try the early hunts before judging it. Third, it needs a capable phone — a large open world with four-player co-op will punish older hardware, so check your storage and thermals before the first long session. If you are shopping for a phone that can handle long, hot sessions, our Honor Win 2 gaming test, iQOO Neo 12 gaming preview, and Win 2 vs Neo 12 comparison cover fan-cooled phones built for exactly that.
None of that dims the occasion. A full-scale Monster Hunter, built for mobile from the ground up under Capcom’s supervision, is the kind of launch the mobile calendar does not get often. Pre-download tonight, and Aesoland opens at 3:00 AM PKT.
